Departing from your cruise pier in Falmouth, your knowledgeable
and courteous tour guide will get you on board the comfortable transportation
for a delightful and pleasant drive to Ocho Rios.
Along the ride on the north coastline, you will make a stop at the Columbus Park in Discovery Bay.
This is where Christopher Columbus first landed in Jamaica. Your guide will tell you how this once little fishing
village became a popular cruise ship port and explain the interesting
historical artifacts displayed. The transportation will continue through
Runaway Bay and St. Ann's Bay before arriving in Ocho Rios.
In Ocho Rios, you will have time for shopping bargains in the towns many duty-free stores and craft markets. We continue the
journey and visit the breathtaking and famous Fern
Gully. At one time Fern Gully was a stream that had cut a deep valley in the
mountain and over time has been populated with dense rain forest vegetation, including
more than 500 species of ferns.
Then the transportation will continue just up the road to Dunn's River
Falls. These 600ft high waterfalls are one of Jamaica's national treasures. And
you will love to climb them!
Your trained river falls guide will give you
tips on how to climb the rock stairs and then lead the group in a human chain
against stream up to the top. Along the way, you may stop at one of the calm
pools and sit under the cascading water to get your free water massage. If you
would rather not climb the falls, you may wait at the bottom and watch the
people on their way to the top.
